Description Badger Creek Authentic Coq de Leon Spade Hackle, This authentic Spanish Coq de Leon from the Gallo region of Spain. These are spade or shoulder hackles. These are ethically sourced and no bird is harmed. There are one dozen feathers hand selected. The shoulders or spades are the stiffest hackles and are ideal for dry flies. These can be used for Euro Nymphs also. Traditional Spainish flies used these tied and stacked comparadun style with a fore hackle.
