My experience: I have found that there are some great hitches out there, but still, outstanding hitches are relatively rare. Outstanding hitch companies with superior customer services are really rare. Even though I have long had my favorite hitch manufacturers, I always wanted Shocker hitches, but I could not afford them. Their hitches have always been exemplar of forward and quality thinking. Recently, I needed a shock-absorbing hitch and mechanical sway mitigation. I did my due diligence, and I found that Shocker’s hitches were hands-down the best for my vehicle and new trailer. Better yet, the Hitch for impact and sway control were on sale! However, as great as finding that the Shocker hitch I needed was in my price range, I found their expert guidance to be as easy as a phone call, and that I had the option to stay in touch with their same expert, as we worked out details and my concerns. I stayed in touch with Shocker expert Logan, who gave me no sales pressure and enthusiastically explored the details of my worries and need for my specific application. In fact, Logan made sure that I bought only what I needed (less than I initially thought that I needed). Shipping was rapid, the products came well packaged and were even more impressive in quality, robustness, and design than even their ads represent. I ordered “Shocker Impact Cushioned Sway Control Tab Raised Hitch”, a three-locking-pin set (keyed the same), and a quick release sway control arm. Now that I have the parts in hand, I have to say that every piece is so well made and gorgeous, that I could just keep them clean and hang them on my wall! However, Logan’s technical recommendations were spot on; so, the Hitch is actually now in use and definitely dirty. Incredibly now, I went back to Shocker to ask another question, and they had plenty of immediate technical help for me. However, in that one phone call, as per my request, I was re-connected to Logan. He remembered exactly what we had spoken about and answered my questions. That was fast, helpful, and highly refreshing, considering the “arms’ length” that manufacturers like Curt tend to hold you at. Kindly note: Curt, among others, is a good company, especially for their state-of-the-art, flexible wireless products. Nevertheless, they do not make their most qualified technical folks readily available, and some of theirs sales “experts” actually give out misinformation about their fine products. Also please note: I have found no other dealer or manufacturer as well-rounded and customer-centric (especially after a sale) as Shocker. Personally, I have never dealt with such an immediately accessible, compitent, innovative, and personable company -with top-tier products, as Shocker. I am glad that I discovered their attributes by purchasing directly from them, which is what I recommend now to others. Shocker has my unreserved, highest recommendation. Thank you.
