OPST hand select these ostrich plumes – they have chosen Drabs as they are stout at the base and taper nicely towards the tips, making them perfect for both wings and tails. They are they double dyed to give you a superb base colour and either strong BARRED or POLKA DOTS. The tips of these feathers are palmerable and can be wrapped as a hackle to give a wide profile with a very slim base. The rest of each feather can be used in a dubbing loop. Additionally, the size of the plumes are ideal for Intruder and Steelhead patterns – very little wastage as when tying with oversized feathers. Two feathers per pack: please note that one feather is larger than the other… The larger plume is ideal for larger Intruders – use the second, smaller plume for trout Intruders or for the butt section of steelhead and Chinook Intruders.
