Description I have tied with many different poly yarns but find the absolute best when I require a coloured version to be AERO DRY WING from Tiemco of Japan. Each fibre of polypropylene has three hollow chambers making the material lighter than water (Aero Dry Wing has a specific gravity of -.68) so it never absorbs water. This makes the yarn an ideal winging material; I tie many of my Klinkhamers and Parachute patterns with Dry Wing. This is not a cheap material but it is easy to work with, the yarn is wrapped on a card backing and each wrap length is perfect size for wing posts or just use different numbers of lengths according to the size of hook you are tying on. Each strand off the card can be easily split for micro patterns and the flo’ colours are extremely bright. The natural colours are also very useful, especially the dun and the cinnamon.
