These are probably the best hackle pliers I’ve used since I started flytying! They hold hackle stems with absolute ease. The tool is super light so it doesn’t break delicate feathers, and it is formed in a loop so that you can easily insert an index finger and wrap the feather under constant pressure. They open easily with a simple squeeze, then close snugly when released. With carefully smoothed edges that will not cut or break the finest of stems under tension and remarkably tight tolerances ensure feathers won’t slip or slide when wrapping. The Hackle Tweezers are also ideal for wrapping game feathers for North Country Spider patterns – again being delicate, they rarely snap Snipe and Woodcock feathers, let alone Partridge.
