The main advantage over conventional round wire is that the flat surface reflects light a lot more – and also offers little more strength. Ideal for ribbing bodies, it cuts less into dubbing,which enhances the ribbing effect even more. Flat wire therefore combines the effect of tinsel and the strength and added weight of wire! This “large” version is ideal for larger patterns such as lures, streamers, Salmon and Sea Trout as well as saltwater flies. 11 Metres ( 12 Yards) of flat wire per spool.
